Residents gathered at the Parkside clubhouse Sunday, Oct. 18, for the Parkside at Westphalia Farmers Market and Community Business Fair, meeting local entrepreneurs and exploring a variety of products and services.
The event, held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., drew a strong turnout. Indoor vendors occupied the clubhouse’s Grand Foyer and Sports Lounge, with farmers market and outdoor vendor spaces outside.
The fair gave residents an opportunity to speak directly with business owners about services ranging from travel planning and real estate to executive coaching, beauty and mental health care. Handmade bath products and event décor were also represented.
Among the participating businesses were IndulgenGlow, Pop of Color Balloon Decor & More, Elite Adventures Travel, All Around Customized Travel, Everybody Can’t Go, Face to Face by Ebony Monique, Le Privé Experience with James, M&T Healthcare Services, Tracey Thompson of eXp Realty and Nando’s Woodmore. Other businesses also participated throughout the event.
A volunteer team that included Lucia Hassell-Lee, Brian Friedlander and team lead Petra Spillman coordinated vendor arrangements and helped participants find their assigned spaces.
The Westphalia Gazette also hosted a table, meeting residents, receiving story ideas and introducing the publication to visitors discovering it for the first time.
Disclosure: The Westphalia Gazette participated in the fair as an indoor vendor.
