Free Kids’ Day at the Washington International Horse Show

Prince George’s Equestrian Center, 14900 Pennsylvania Avenue, Upper Marlboro, MD 20772

The horse show’s Kids’ Day is free, with free parking, and is scheduled rain or shine. Organizers advertise pony rides, face painting, a miniature jumping course, a mini-pony kissing booth and opportunities to meet horses and the show’s mascot. The program is designed for children and families; no numerical age limit or advance-registration requirement is stated on its event page.

Do not assume every horse-show session is free. The organizer’s ticket information says Saturday’s afternoon classes become ticketed starting at 1 p.m., and other selected performances require paid admission. Sunday, October 25, offers another free option: pony hunter competition and the Pony Equitation Final begin at 8 a.m., with no ticket required. A Sunday ending time is not listed.
